Dear world, I give you...

LOGAN

In my time home for the holidays, i threw in a few photoshoots. because, why not.

One with the adorable, Logan Sutherland. I will add more soon, but here is a teaser post of some of my favoritte!

Logan is a student in the DPA at American University, and quite the talented one.

I remember the " buzz" around him as a freshman, whenever a talented male comes in- word spreads quickly.

I first photographed Logan his first month of college in perf 101.

oh by the way, someone got the smart idea so paint my photogrpahy studio ( aka katzen hallway) brown. straight up shit brown... wtf? so... We had a creative solution. This is not a studio wall, this is a poster board. WHAT? you'd never know.

I worked with him when I co-choreographed "Oklahoma!" last spring, and he was quite the little stud on the dance floor as well. just love him.

L I V E : vintage trouble

Dear World,

Also at Harvelle's in Santa Monica you can rock out weekly with their house band Vintage Trouble. Here on a " Trouble Tuesday" , as always, was awesome.

Call me sexist, but I find it hard to find a male lead singer, who has this much charisma and stage presence.... i love it.

I've seen him dance down the bar, or crawl into the crowd dancing, it takes you back to a whole other era....

his songs are heartfelt, and typically seem to be based on his own life expieriences. he introduces one song as " this is about a whore named Jesibella"

and another with " my parents love eachother but my dad wasnt a music man, if he was this is the song he would have wrote for my mom..." ( charmer!)

I highly recommend checking them out, especially on a night where you can them AND JSB ( and Jessie Payo) if you are prepared for that much rock and roll on a week night...

beautiful girls come up suited in their most retro of dresses to swirve through the dance floor from gent to gent. martini in hand, naturally...

plus, he reminds me of my brother...

Dear World,

Meet the Johnny Statchela Band. Featuring the gorgeous Jessie Payo.

As Usual, They rocked the stage at Harvelles in santa monica, a deep and smokey music joint with red velvet curtains and a vintage house band. If you have never been, I highly recommend it.

To the left, is Justin Wilman { aka Justin Kredible } Magician, Tv Show Host, extroridinaire. Jessie's Boyfriend. I know Jessie through my good buddy Justin, so I thought I'd snap a photo of him being a supportive boyfriend . turned out pretty hott eh?

She pretty much exudes sexiness on stage at all times.

These two have been rocking out together forever. The chemistry and music is solid-

and prepare to have your face rocked off.

i love fun.

if you were ever a fan of the band the format, maybe you missed the memo but they are back together. well sort of. as close as it will get ( you can still here dog problems if your lucky) ....

What is even better about fun. is that emily moore plays with them. emily and i grew up together on the music scene in charlotte, nc. we first recorded little girly songs when we were 15.... and now she is touring the world with paramore and fun. she is insanly talented and deserves everything she is getting.

plus shes a babe check out those legs, damn girl.

my love affair with emily has also served me well because she typically gets me a press pass at their shows! i was able to be front row with that pass for this show, and capture awesomeness like this gem above me.

oh em em..... if you've ever listened to the pancake song on my album and said " who is that choir of people" its me emily and her beau justin over and over again....

this is jack antonoff. he is also the lead singer of Steel Train, who is touring with Fun. now. Justin, who produced my album is the keys player for Steel Train ( such an awesome tiny world)
